5. No way to fake leather

You know what leather smells like. It is easy to detect what the real designer bag smells like. You should not smell chemicals, rubber or glue. If you smell something artificial, it means the bag is a copy. Bags that are made from real leather are dry and soft while fake materials are oily and sticky. Pay attention to the handles of the purse. As a rule, after several weeks straps and handles from genuine leather may get discolored. Fake leather will remain unchanged and shiny.

6. Avoid online designer bag outlets

Some manufacturers are known to have their own outlets for goods that didn’t sell. Stay away from online stores that are not run by the manufacturer. The problem is that such sites sell multiples of the same designer purses – another sign that the bags are not real.
