5. Rice and Canned Veggies
We cannot deny that fresh vegetables are better. However, if you know you are too busy to do shopping more than once a week, it would be wise of you to have canned vegetables in your pantry. Opt for canned vegetables that are as nutritious as the fresh kind. Also, you will need to stock up on rice. Finally, if you freeze a couple of chicken breasts, you will always have great food that you can use to make a home-made meal. N.B. Did you know that vegetables are canned right after they are picked? Before canning they are cooked at high temperatures hence manufacturers do not need to add preservatives to keep the product fresh.
