9. Healthy food choices
This is the crucial point. No matter how many hours a day you spend in the gym sweating, if you keep eating the wrong foods, you will never lose weight. Check the healthy food pyramid and make sure that your menu includes all types of products. What stops weight loss is junk food, simple carbs (candies and pastry), salt, and fizzy drinks. Stuff your fridge with lean meats, seafood, fruits and veggies. Use whole grain foods, drink plenty of still water and avoid fried foods.
10. Healthy snacking
Mini meals are absolutely essential during the day. Do not restrict yourself to one or two main meals a day. This is not enough to keep your body happy and satisfied. If you eat too little and have too few meals a day you do not let your organism burn fat effectively. What you do not really need is a late-night snack. Remember to have your meal a few hours before bed. And let it be something light, fat-free and low in carbs – a few spoons of cottage cheese or plain yogurt will prepare you for a good night’s sleep without overloading your stomach.
