3. Breathing Through Your Mouth
If you’re too stuffed up and cannot breathe through your nose, you’ll inevitably start breathing through your mouth. In fact, some people breathe through their mouth even when their nose is not stuffed. Not only is it a bad habit, it does not solve the issue of the bad breath either. The smell will bother you as well as people around you. Besides, you’ll look unattractive. When the mouth is kept open for a long time, it tends to dry out. And, unfortunately, a dry mouth is a perfect ground for bacteria to grow and develop. Control your breathing technique and practice breathing through the nose. You’ll soon get used to it – breathing through the nose is more natural and healthier anyways.
4. Medication As a Cause of Unpleasant Breath
Bad breath should never stop you taking medication. Before you make your final decision, please consult your doctor. If your medication causes bad breath and you are unhappy about it, first try and drink plenty of water and use chewing gum containing Xylitol. Have a bottle of fresh water around. Remember to drink a lot of water. This will keep your breath much fresher and your body well hydrated.
