3. You count calories, not nutrients
Size matters of course and the amount of food that you consume play an important role. However, quality of the food is far more important. If your food is rich in minerals, vitamins and nutrients, then your body needs smaller amounts, while low quality foods, even if consumed in large portions, do not satisfy your hunger and you keep eating and gaining weight. Give preference to vegetables, wholefoods and fruits.
4. You stay passive and do not move enough
Your might spend most of your time in your office doing boring filing. Then you return home, spend a few hours watching your favorite talk show or chatting to your buddies on Skype. This kind of lifestyle does not involve any physical activity. What you need is to remember to move around every 30-40 minutes. Stand while speaking on the phone, talk a walk before bedtime or simply do your domestic chores more often. When at work try and do stretching, watch your posture and do other small things that at first sight might seem useless. It does not matter what you do, just stay more active!
