No matter how busy you are, you must find some time for cooking a proper home-made meal. Eat out only on very special occasions and avoid fast food restaurants. The problem is actually easily solved. Spend some 20-30 minutes to prepare a healthy meal. Whenever you prepare something, have some extra and freeze the food in portions so that you could save your time. Home-made food is always healthier, fresher and cheaper.

6. Good fats should not be avoided

Not all fats are unhealthy. The fatty acids that are found in olive oil, fatty fish, seeds and nuts cannot ruin your diet. On the contrary, if consumed in moderation, they keep your body working properly. Low-fat foods are sometimes too high in added sugars which are far more dangerous for your waistline than fats and oils. The only fats that you should avoid are those found in junk food.
