7. Sleep longer hours if you want to be slimmer
Sleep is as important as your workout programs and your diet. If you stay up until midnight and get up to work early morning, it means you do not get enough sleep. Your body might become defensive and won’t lose extra pounds in order to protect itself from additional stress. Why is sleep essential? The reason is that during sleep our organism produces leptin. This hormone is needed to inform you when you are full and prevent you from overeating. If you do not sleep enough, you eat more since leptin cannot be produced. Get used to going to bed earlier. Turn off all kinds of electronic devices. Let your bedroom be dark and cool. Stop consuming alcohol. Quit smoking and taking sleeping pills.
8. Your most comfortable weight
Some say our bodies have some certain set point. That’s the weight we feel most comfortable in. Nevertheless, it is possible to lower that point if you are patient enough and do not use drastic measures to lose weight. Try and lose a pound a week and then let your body adjust to its new weight. Then continue the program trying to maintain the weight.
