Extra nutritious breakfast
Nutritious does not necessarily mean calorific. What we mean by ‘nutritious’ is a meal that is rich in vitamins and minerals rather than sugars and fats. Make your usual smoothie even healthier in summer. Prepare a coco-mango smoothie first, then add a couple of tablespoons chia seeds and 1 ground turmeric, squeeze some lime and mix it all with a cup of ice. The drink will contain over 20 vitamins and minerals. Not only is it nutritious and refreshing, it is also very delicious and has all that is needed to protect your skin from harmful UVB.
More liquids in every shape and form
Summer gives us a whole spectrum of products that are low in calories yet instantly fill us up. Eat more vegetables and fruits. Avoid starchy vegetables and eat those that contain a lot of water. Make salads for you and your family. Add plenty of cucumbers, cabbage and zucchini to your menu. Broth-based soups are also great – they are light and low in calories. You will feel full for much longer if you eat a bowl of soup before the second course.
