5. Bill Gates
Gates has been known as the most successful college dropout. He was one of the richest people until he started to actively participate in various donations and charities. Bill Gates was once a Harvard University student. However, he dropped out of college and later on created a partnership with Paul Allen. The result of their collaboration became the well-known project called Microsoft. Despite the fact that Bill Gates did not graduate from Harvard, he holds a degree. In 2007 he was awarded an honorary doctorate degree by Harvard University. It is estimated that Bill Gates is worth $40 billion dollars.
