7. Clean Household Items

You can often feel unpleasant smells in the kitchen. The items you use to cut and chop garlic, onion or prepare fish and meat absorb the smell and germs. If your appliances are made out of metals, then cleaning them is easy. If they are wooden, removing odors and germs may be difficult. Rub half a lemon over cutting boards, knives or other tools and let it sit for around half an hour. Then rinse the utensils and dry them well.
