5. Ear Popping
Distant travellers choose planes. They know that the best way to ‘pop’ their ears is a yawn. It helps because yawning balances out the pressure between the outside and inside of the eardrum. The same affect can be achieved by gently blowing through the nose with your mouth closed. Others prefer to chew gum while on the plane.
6. The Brain Freeze
How does one get a brain freeze? This is a sensation we get when we eat icy-cold foods like ice-cream. It might remind some kind of a headache. If very cold foods and drinks are consumed slowly, you are unlikely to experience the so-called brain freeze since the blood vessels in front of your head are not affected by the low temperature. Slow down when you drink or eat something cold and you’ll avoid the possible discomfort.
