3. You will be introduced to new foods
Just imagine how many cuisines your partner has tasted! There are no totally identical countries in the world. The differences can be seen and even tasted. Let your partner introduce you to the foods of the countries he has already visited. Go to a restaurant serving food of that country or let your partner cook for you at home. You are not supposed to like the dishes. Simply taste them and try to understand the differences between you and people living thousands of miles away. Buy a bottle of red wine and some blue cheese to ‘taste’ France or prepare sushi and ‘feel’ Japan!
4. You will realize how much you cherish your family and friends
Distance influences the way we perceive life and people who surround us. Once we leave our homes we start missing our families, friends and even pets. It is sad to see off your partner. However, it is even harder to describe how happy you will be to meet them again once they return back home. Make the best of your time while your partner is away – take care of yourself, work out more, watch your diet and spend more time on your own. Being together 24/7 is not always good. Every relationship needs balance. Let yourself and your partner stay away from each other for some time.
